We've developed an extension so that all BigCommerce merchants can enable Bitcoin and Lightning Network-powered payments with a simple, easy-to-use integration. Adding OpenNode to your BigCommerce checkout takes just a few steps:
1. Generate an API Key
After signing up for an account on https://www.opennode.com, log into the platform
Click on "Developers" and select the "Integrations" tab
Click on the "Generate E-commerce Key" button
Copy the generated API Key
2. Install the OpenNode module on your store
Sign in to the BigCommerce dashboard. On the left side of the dashboard navigation panel, click “Apps”.
On the next screen, click the bigcommerce.com/apps button
Type the word “OpenNode” into the search bar. Then, click on the OpenNode Bitcoin Payments app in the search results.
When the next page loads, click “Install”.
Click the checkbox to agree to the terms and conditions for the OpenNode app.
Paste the e-commerce key from your clipboard into the API key field. Then, click submit.
When the next screen loads, click the “Enable” toggle to enable bitcoin payments.
